MNIT launches FOSS labs

FOSS Labs, MNIT; was started to foster the growth of open source software, by encouraging students to learn and develop solutions to computerization problems of the institute. The initial focus is on the educational aspects of Free and Open Source software - a series of tutorials and talks on FOSS related topics are being held to increase the awareness of FOSS amongst the students. Future plans include hosting of FOSS projects and mirroring services for popular GNU/Linux distributions.
