Wi-Fi with FOSS Course 4th batch ...

4th bach of "Wi-Fi with FOSS" coure will be held during 17 - 22 Dec 2007

AU-KBC, jointly with NRCFOSS, plans to conduct the fourth batch of the Certification Course "Wi-Fi  with FOSS" during 17 - 22 December 2007.

The Communications Group of AU-KBC Research Centre, in association with NRCFOSS, has been conducting a one-week of certification course on Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) technology using FOSS components. The main objective of this course is to enlighten the students on the various aspects of an IEEE 802.11 WLAN, popularly known as WiFi.

 The list of topics covered include : Networking & Linux fundamentals, WLAN : Basics, PHY, MAC, framing and management, WLAN Security, QoS, etc. The morning sessions will primarily consist of presentation of concepts while there will be hands-on labs and demos during the afternoon sessions.

The last three batches of the certifiation program had attracted about 80 participants -- students, staff as well as working professionals. The course is particularly targetted towards industry participants and 3rd year / final year undergraduate students and postgraduate students of ECE, EEE, CSE and IT.
