django in Tamil ...

Django now available in Tamil

During the translation workshop done on Saturday, Jul 15 2006
django ( http://www.djangoproject.com/) was localised to Tamil.
There were fouteen participants during the workshop.
The workshop included:

  • Installation of tools (kbabel, tamil font and tamil input method)
  • Building a database of past Tamil translations (glossaries, tranlations from KDE, OpenOffice.org)
  • Brief talks by Vel Murugan & Ma Sivakumar of their experiences of translation in Zha Kanini
  • Translation of about 400 strings of django in Tamil

The participants have formed a google group (foss4mylang)
to further work on translations. Join now !
